NW Magic is a premier youth organization focusing on teaching and inspiring young athletes, who possess a passion for the game. NW Magic is one of the largest and most recognizable organizations in the Pacific Northwest. We create a stepping-stone for young athletes that have the desire to compete at the highest level as well as beginners and intermediate level players who are just getting started. Teams will be formed in Tacoma, WA.

EXPOSURE AND COMPETITION

NW Magic provides the experience of competing at the local and national level while offering the opportunity of exposure, which may lead to college recruitment. Our main goal is to prepare the athletes for a higher level of basketball competition.

MISSION

NW Magic Basketball is for all ages and skill levels. Through our development program, your child will develop fundamental and advanced basketball skills, necessary to prepare her for a successful high school or college and professional career. The goal for NW Magic athletes’ is to move on to have successful basketball experiences, always demonstrating a solid basketball foundation.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT/PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Our premier basketball program is unmatched in offering year-round training focused on proper decision making in game-like situations, individual offensive skill development, strength, speed, and agility. We are very proud of our fundamental and educational program, which has proven to be one of the best in the area.

Northwest Magic is a proud member of the EYCL. EYCL IS THE ELITE YOUTH CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS COMPRISED OF NIKE SPONSORED PROGRAMS. THE PROGRAMS WILL COMPETE FOR TWO SPOTS AT NIKE NATIONALS.

17U NIKE EYCL

Vanessa McClendon & Keeshia Thomas

The Nike Elite EYCL is the flagship team of Northwest Magic Basketball. This team is sponsored by Nike and plays in the National Nike EYCL League. Players considered playing for this program should have college interest and be in consideration for 1st Team, All State and/or All-American status. The Nike Elite EYCL players travel regionally and nationally and play against other EYCL teams and top caliber teams across the country. The amount of playing minutes is not guaranteed.

16U NIKE EYCL

Keeshia Thomas & Vanessa McClendon ​

16U Nike Elite EYCL is our top Freshman and Sophomore team. This team will travel regionally and nationally, with an opportunity to qualify for Nike Nationals. The 16U Nike Elite EYCL team plays in the top division of tournament play and against other 16U EYCL teams in the country. Players selected for this team are College prospects and should be looking to move up to the 17U Nike Elite EYCL team.

15U Nike EYCL

15U Nike EYCL team is our Freshman travel squad. This team will travel regionally and nationally, playing against other top Freshman teams as well as other high caliber talent. Players selected for this team should be considered a college prospect who desires to expand their recruitment opportunities.

NW MAGIC PREMIER -LOCAL

The Northwest Magic Premier High School Program is tailored for dedicated high school players seeking to maintain a high level of play locally without the need for extensive travel. Our premier program excels in providing top-notch training, fierce competition, and exceptional coaching support for players based in our local area. We offer a comprehensive package that caters to the needs and aspirations of high school athletes who are committed to honing their skills and excelling in basketball, all within a convenient local setting.

FEES

If your player accepts our invitation following tryouts, it means your family is fully committed to both the schedule and the associated fees. Fees:

National EYCL Team Cost - $1600 ($320 per month (5 month season) - Fee covers player gear, recruiting advisory & platform, gym cost, coaches, tournaments, admin, insurance, & group training, Does not cover travel.

Local Team Cost - $1200 ($200 per month (6 month season)- Fee covers recruiting advisory & platform, gym cost, coaches, tournaments, admin, insurance, & group training, Does not cover Uniform/Gear and travel.
